“Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.” 1 Timothy 5: 23
Friends during my reading yesterday I noticed this instruction (“Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.”) for the first time and not being a consumer of alcohol I chose not to share it. I apologise for not sharing it with you because it your choice if you want to drink wine. Friends having said that the important thing is use a little wine to help you. What is wine? (“Wine is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented grapes or other fruits. The natural chemical balance of grapes lets them ferment without the addition of sugars, acids, enzymes, water, or other nutrients. Yeast consumes the sugars in the grapes and converts them into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Different varieties of grapes and strains of yeasts produce different styles of wine.” Reference Wikipedia). Friends I do not believe we are encouraged to over indulge, but if you would like to have a little wine then do so. Friends you now have some food for thought, but I would rather encourage that you drink non-alcoholic wine, which I believe would be healthier for you and pleasing to GOD.
Do not over indulge.
