2 Corinthians 3: 17
“…and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom…”
Dear reader, the promise of liberty and freedom can be found in almost all the pages of the Scriptures.
The Word of God reveals the heart of God to us. God longs for us to be free – free from sin, free from the sinful nature, free from strongholds/bondages, free from demonic influences, free from emotional wounds and hurts, free from religion, free from the world and its demands, free from the longing for approval from people, free from addictions and bad habits…. FREE!
You might be sitting there thinking that it is impossible, but you are forgetting that what is impossible to man is possible with God! The Holy Spirit holds the key to our freedom! The Holy Spirit reveals to us who Jesus is and what He came to accomplish for us on the cross 2000 years ago. Then, the Holy Spirit convicts us to yield our lives to Jesus. And then, the Holy Spirit fills us and starts a work of progressive liberty and sanctification in our lives.
The secret however lies in our co-operation to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We need to be willing to yield our free will to the will of the Holy Spirit. We have to make a decision to lay ourselves down completely and to discipline ourselves to walk in the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit holds the key to your freedom today, dear friend.
The Holy Spirit is powerful and breaks the yokes and the strongholds off from us! There is power when the Spirit of God is present! Turn to Him today and ask Him to liberate you from whatever it is that you might be struggling with. Then, yield your life and choose to follow Him and His voice while you take the time to sit in the Word and grow in the knowledge of how to walk in the Holy Spirit!
A walk in the Holy Spirit produces love, joy and peace.
It is an overcoming walk!!! It is a walk that will provide you with all the wisdom, discernment and insight you need. It is a walk that will lift you to greater heights than you ever thought possible. It is a walk that lifts you above your emotions and your thoughts. It is a walk into the very centre of God’s very own heart, will, thoughts and ways!!
Prayer:
“Holy Spirit, we long to be filled with You today. We long to experience the freedom that only You can give us. We yield ourselves to Your workings in our lives. We lay ourselves down today in order to receive all from You! Thank You Jesus for the precious Holy Spirit that You send to those who have accepted Your love and Your sacrifice and thus guarantees our salvation and our deliverance! We praise You! Amen.”
